Rava – 1 cup
Mustard seeds , urad dhal, channa dhal- -1 tsp each
Green chilli- 1 to 1 1/2
Hing – 1/2 tsp
Oil- 1 to 1 1/2 laddle
Ghee – 3 to 4 tsp
Mixed veg- 1 cup ( beans, carrot, corn, peas)
Onion – 1 med size
In a kadai, dry roast the rava until it gives an aroma. keep it aside. In a kadai, add 1 to 1 1/2 laddle oil, add mustard seeds. After the mustard seeds splutter, add urad dhal and channa dhal. Once the dhals turn light brown, add chopped ginger, green chillies and onion onion. Saute and add the mixed vegetables. Saute and add boiled water ( 21/2 cups) ,salt , hing and cover it . Once the vegetables are cooked, add rava little by little, simultaneously stirring the kadai to avoid lumps. Add more war water if necessary. Cook until the rava is well cooked. Add 2 tsp ghee or more . Close with a lid and simmer it for 2 minutes. Serve with coconut chutney.
Cover with lid and simmer for 2 minutes.
Variation- add roasted cashews. Add tomatoes after onion.
